Program Mission
Asiantation is a mentor/mentee program designed to help new and transferring students feel a sense of community at UConn. As an Asiantation mentor, you will learn to work cooperatively with others, serve as a role model for incoming students, and create new friendships.

All Majors Welcome.
Training
Application process begins in late March followed by individual interviews. Final selection will be made by April 10 and students will be notified of their acceptance via e-mail. A one-day training retreat in April, half-day workshop in August before the start of school, and enrollment in the 3-credit course INTD 298 Asian American Leadership & Mentoring during the Fall semester are mandatory. Asiantation initial event is held on the Sunday afternoon before classes.
 
     
  Basic Description  
 
   
Type of Peer Educator Full-time, 3rd semester and above with at least one year at the Storrs campus.
Responsibilities Work one-on-one with mentees, connecting them to resources around campus, answering their questions, listening to their issues throughout the school year and involving them and inviting them to a variety of events at the AsACC and around campus.
Type of Student Serviced Asian-American freshmen and transfer students new to the University of Connecticut.
